imergo® is one the key products developed within the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology FIT and it is used in many companies and organisations worldwide.

Our institute pursues a user-centered approach to information and cooperation systems design. FIT's vision can be defined as human-centered computing in a process context. FIT has a staff of about 100 researchers from different areas like: Computer Science, Social Sciences, Business Administration and Engineering.

Welcome to the Home Page of imergo® online! This site contains information about our set of products and services in the area of Web Compliance Engineering. Web Compliance ensures that your Web site or your Enterprise Content Management System (ECM) conforms to a specification, an standard or a law that has been defined or issued by the corresponding standards or regulatory body. In nowadays' complex Web environments, Web Compliance can reduce costs, ensure interoperability of your Web applications, increase customer satisfaction and usability, and protect you of liability issues. Web Compliance is not reduced to accessibility of Web portals, but it is a wider concept that includes:

Standards compliance and interoperability;
Quality assurance and optimization of resources;
Security and privacy;
Searchability, discoverability of resources and ranking optimization;

The imergo® set of Web Compliance tools has been developed by the Web Compliance Center of the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology (FIT). We present here an online demo of the imergo® 1.2 Web Compliance Manager. We will aim to extend the availability of new product demos in the site in the coming months. This demo is provided as-is and as a service to the community of Web developers. They do not contain their full range of capabilities of the commercial versions.
